My Experience !
My experience in Mrs.Day's AP language & composition class was motivational. I say motivational because she prepared and showed us a little of how college life will be and trained us to always do our best. She's the best English teacher I ever had. All the essays, reading novels, and class discussing will pay off in the long run, and I will have her to thank for that.
Her teaching strategies was always different; sometimes the ways would be boring and other times the ways would be enjoyable to learn. Everything we did in her class was for a purpose and never just to keep us busy like other teachers would give out. With her writing skills she made me come out of my shell of writing because before her class I use to hate writing, but she helping me to branch out and try all the different writing skills I didn't know before.
I wouldn't want to change a thing about Mrs.Day's teaching strategies because they were unique and helpful. I just want to thank her for everything and wish her lucky onto her new job in Nashville, Tennessee because I am going to miss her so much. I enjoyed being apart of her AP Language & Composition 2013-2014 class, but I really do wish she was staying to be my AP literature teacher.

Invisible Man
3. Ellison's account of the "Brotherhood" is athinly disguised depiction of the American Communist Party during the Stalin era. Ellison was himself involved with the Party, as were many other black intellectuals during the Thirties. Research Stalinist ideology and Communist activity during the Thristies. Why did black Americans identify themseleves with the Communist Cause? Why did Party officals see the black community as a natural ally? Were their aims essentially allied or opposed?
Blacks indentified themselves with the Communist Cause because they clearly understood that the struggle for African American equality and working class solidarity in general are connected; we cannot have one without the other. The Communist Party has deeply influenced the thinking of hundreds of thousands of white Americans, especially in the ranks of organized labor. It has won increasing numbers of allies for the Negro people.

Current event
Raise taxes by a half cent to find Pre-k ? In my opinion that will be a great idea simply because all children will be able to attend pre-k even if they family's are wealth or not so wealth. This will also make children be more advanced and ready for kindergarten. Then there would be more students to graduate high school and some will attend college. But not all do I think this will benefit kids I think it will benefit everyone because they would be less violence and less teen parents and more doctors, lawyers, and police officer. On the other hand, I also believe that people will be upset about this because the tax will be highly & more money is coming out of their hard earned checks. So I would definitely stand behind the raise of taxes to fund Pre-k because it would better the community and the world

Education is Life !
I think education is needed if you really want to be a successful person in life or unless you're that somebody that want to flip burgers for life then go head. Education plays a major put in our lives because if we didn't have knowledge we'll just be dumb basically. It starts off with going to elementary to learn the basic stuff about life like: colors, numbers, your name, and your address, as you move up a grade you learn these things in more details. Then, you start to learn the basic subject like: math, science, reading, and social studies. By then you've moved to junior high which is a lot different from elementary. In junior high trade to 7 different classes a day that prepares you for high school. High school is the same as junior high, but in high school they mainly focus on what you need to graduate. As you can tell education plays a big role in your life. People always want things to be handed to them, but they never do the things to get what they are wanting. For example, education is not handed to you once you get to college the professors are not going to be babying you to come to class or turn in work like in elementary, junior high, and high school did, and that's were people go wrong and drop out because no one is handed them anything so they don't want to get it. That is the reason why we have more McDonalds workers than Doctors because people don't what to take the responsibility to get a good education and do some wonderful with there life, but instead they will rather get paid minimal wage. I'm saying all of that to say that education is very important so get it while you can because getting a good education becomes harder after every year so strive to do your best, and you will be the best.

Why Abolish Grading ?
Why should we abolish grading? So people can have more to talk about us then they had before? I'm speaking in being a black African American because people are already calling us senseless and that we are dumb. To abolish grading will effect us extremely different. I say that because how would we know where we stand in a class? How would we know if we are passing or failing? All we would know is what we make on a test and what if that's not good enough? Like Paul Goodman said in the proposal " There are several good reasons for testing, and kinds of test. But if the aim is to discover weakness, by faking and bulling, if not cheating!" From my point of view I think he was saying test can only discover someone's weakness because they had no time to improve by not getting graded. Also, he's saying testing will abuse peoples knowledge and make them feel dumb because they thought they knew it, but they actually didn't . I think that we cause more students to drop and not even attendant school anymore. I wonder would I be as smart as I am with by just taking test? Test to me is like do or die either you pass it or you fail. Like EOC it's 25% of your grade that's a lot for just one little test to determine if you pass or not. So with all that being said I don't think that grading should be abolished because like he stated in the piece " The work does not suit me, not this subject, or not at this time, or not in this school, or not in school altogether. School isn't for everybody just as well as taking test isn't for everybody. What would education be like if we only took test?

Cheerleading is a Sport !
Cheerleading is a physical organization that shows school spirit; however, alot of people say cheerleading is not a sport. To clarify, cheering is just as physical as any other sport. You get injured, work out, get muscles, get in shape, and have to practice all the time, if you want to be the best. I'm not just saying that because i'm a cheerleader, but because people think that we just go out there to look pretty and do the same cheers. There are different requirements and skills needed to become a cheerleader. For example, cheerleaders must have good leadership, a positive attitude, good grades, and be a good example for others to follow. In addition to being a cheerleader, you have to have good skills, flexibility, stretch, run, and lift weights. Furthermore, cheerleadings also receive scholarships and refers to go to college just as other sports does. Chherleader is like a get away for me, i enjoy doing it because it makes me happy and makes me forget about all the bad things that are going on in life. Likewise, it is fun to go to the different schools, out of town to cheer your team on and to different competitions. In a conclusion, cheering Is absolutely a sport because they do just as much as other sports if not more. Cheerleaders sometimes are the reason why football and basketball teams are all hype and anxious to play and Get a win. Basically cheerleaders are the BEST !
